 INCLUSION AND WORK, LIDL ITALY OBTAINS CERTIFICATION FOR GENDER EQUALITY

UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification confirms the Company's commitment to promoting a fair and discrimination-free working environment.

 Arcole (VR), February 27, 2026 – Lidl Italia has obtained UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality certification, following validation of its management system by the Afnor certification body. The certification, valid for three years, attests to the adoption of 33 indicators relating to six areas of assessment that definea truly inclusive organization: from culture, governance, and human resources to growth opportunities, fair pay, and work-life balance.

Sebastiano Sacilotto, Chief People Officer at Lidl Italia, commented: "The certification we have obtained is an important milestone in a process that began some time ago, in which people have always been our priority. This result confirms that Lidl Italia's corporate culture, based on trust, respect, and equal opportunities, is translated into consolidated actions and processes on a daily basis. Furthermore, as a company that employs over 23,000 people, we believe it is our duty to contribute to a workplace free of prejudice, where everyone can express their value."

 The certification recognizes a multi-year process that has led Lidl Italia to develop a human resources management strategy based on fairness and respect. Over time, the company has established a DE&I Committee, introduced specific policies against all forms of discrimination and violence in the workplace, and extended paternity leave to 25 days, thereby strengthening its commitment to a truly inclusive culture. At the same time, initiatives dedicated to prevention and awareness of women's health have been launched, together with collaborations with local organizations such as Valore D and D.i.Re – Donne in Rete contro la violenza(Women Networked Against Violence). Lidl Italia also promotes female empowerment through its support for women's sports and dedicated communication projects, including #WomenInLidl, with the aim of promoting women's talent both inside and outside the organization.
