TheNational Statistical Office of Mongolia, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, has been certified by AFNOR Groupe for the implementation of information security management systems in accordance with the ISO 27001:2022 standard. The certificate was presented by Corinne Perera da Silva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Mongolia, to Mr. B. Batdavaa, Director of theMongolian National Statistical Office, at the " National Data Conference ". The event was held in the Mongolian Parliament House to mark the 100th anniversary of the creation and development of the statistical service in Mongolia.

TheMongolian National Statistical Office has successfully implemented the " Development and Management of the Unified State Database " project with the support of the Asian Development Bank and system organizations in collaboration with other government entities. The rapid development of technology and data processing capacity is creating new opportunities and challenges for countries, intensifying the transformation of the statistical sector. It has implemented major projects to improve the quality and coverage of statistical data, strengthen international cooperation, develop historical statistical data, introduce big data and spatial data into statistical production, and enhance data security. TheMongolian National Statistical Office is highly regarded for its statistical systems, information infrastructure, sources and statistical products and services. It is ranked 2nd in East Asia and 8th in the world in terms of data coverage and openness by ODIN (Open Data Inventory).
Moncertf LLC, AFNOR International's agency in Mongolia, provided the audit service on behalf of AFNOR Groupe. The National Statistical Office is the fifth organization in Mongolia to be certified by AFNOR Groupe for information security management systems.
