In a significant endorsement that will support exports to European Union (EU) and U.K. markets, QUANG NINH CONSTRUCTION AND CEMENT JSC, with its LAM THACH Plant in VIETNAM, is the first cement plant in Vietnam’s large cement industry to have received both CE and NF markings for its products—two stringent global quality standards that validate LAM Thach cement’s adherence to higher standards in cement production in Europe. NF is a collective certification mark, the exclusive property of AFNOR in France.
The Portland cement CEM I 52.5N CE PM CP2 NF manufactured at the LAM THACH plant (with a production capacity of 2.2 million metric tons) in the Ha Long Bay region (northern Vietnam, near the Hai Phong Container Port) has successfully met the requirements of NF 002:2023, NFP 15-317:2023, and NFP 15-318:2023 standards for high-performance cements suitable for marine structures and precast concrete.
AFNOR International recently announced that Portland cement CEM I 52.5N CE PM CP2 NF has passed carbon footprint verification and that the LAM THACH PLANT has also passed greenhouse gas verification, confirming that the quantity of GHG emissions and the GHG statement comply with ISO international standards.
