OBJECTIVES OF THE TRAINING

To provide a solid foundation in the fundamentals of power system protection:

  • The fundamental engineering principles that dictate the extent and composition of protection within a power system.
  • Basic vocabulary for discussing and describing protection issues
  • Understanding and knowledge of the devices that make up protection systems.
  • Diagrams showing the application of protection in transmission and distribution networks.

  BENEFITS OF THIS OPEN APPRENTICESHIP

Each module is divided into easily identifiable sections:

  • The course includes quizzes to help you check your progress
  • On successful completion, candidates receive an industry-recognised certificate detailing the modules taken and the grades achieved.

At the end of the course you will be able to :

  •  Implementing appropriate methods
  •  On successful completion, candidates receive an industry-recognised certificate detailing the modules taken and the grades achieved.

WHO IS CONCERNED?

The course is aimed at the technical generation of engineers, recent graduates and unit operators: any personnel where knowledge of protection is an issue.
