One function; construction and operation of a small modern boiler feedwater heating system.

Module 6: Cooling systems and auxiliaries

A function; construction and operation of auxiliary support systems found in small-scale biomass power plants.

Module 7: Electricity and Production

Basic units of electrical theory and three-phase alternating current generation.

Module 8: Control and Instrumentation

Basic units of measurement required for a control system.

Module 9: Plant Operations

Requirements and processes for cold start-up.

Module 10: Legal, safety and environmental issues

Basic understanding of many often complex legal, safety and environmental issues.
